The Best Camera you would ever buy? Sony A7R4

Updated: Aug 7, 2019

The world is changing and the trend of the heavy DSLRs have been shifted slightly in the current decade to the mirrorless segment. We have seen the trends that Sony has grabbed top 2 position in the ILC market share, which was always kept for Canon and Nikon for years. In the month of July, with the launch of the Sony A7R4, Sony has up the game a bit more. Providing a handy 61MP in the most affordable price that you can think of, it seems like Sony has taken a leap forward than their competitors. It is not only boasted with the most advanced features but it is also compact and affordable. This makes it a perfect buy for Professionals.

The revolutionary key features of the Sony α7R IV includes

1. Debut of Real-time Eye AF for movie recording and advanced Real-time Tracking plus Real-time Eye AF for still image recording. (Is it going to outdate the Canon 1DX series? It's better than the Canon's patent Dual-pixel AF system)

2. High-speed continuous shooting at up to 10 fps(4) with full AF / AE tracking for approximately seven seconds(5) in full-frame mode with an increased buffer memory, and approximately three times as long in APS-C mode.

3. 15-stop dynamic range at low sensitivities, resulting in smooth, natural gradations ranging from deep shadows to highlights

4. Multi Interface Shoe™ with digital audio interface delivers the high-quality sound recording with Sony’s new microphone and XLR microphone adaptor.

5. It's compactness must not be ignored. This beast just weighs 1lb and 7.5oz. Or 666g with all the batteries and two memory cards inserted. Isn't it a great deal?

There are many more features, but these are the major enhancements which are introduced for the first time in the history of compact ILCs.

What are your thoughts on the same? This is not the first time Sony has given tough times for Canon and Nikon. With the launch of Sony A7 3, and A7 R3 and A7R2, Sony has already pushed Canon and Nikon to up their mirrorless games. The results are Canon EOS R systems and Nikon Z series. But this is beyond, do you think it has given sleepless nights to Canon and Nikon Engineers? Well, we hope to see some amazingly revolutionised devices in the next two years. This competition will definitely lead to more and more innovations in the Camera industry.
